China Reports Latest Death From Bird Flu

Chinese authorities have announced the death of a 73-year-old woman in an eastern province who died after contracting a new strain of bird flu. This is the 46th death reported since March that is linked to bird flu. Dr. Tseten Dorje Sandutsang, the chief doctor of Delek Hospital in Dharamsala who also serves as personal physician for the Dalai Lama, said at the moment there is no need of concern for those who travel to China. However, he reminds environmental health hazards, such as air pollution, should be taken more serious if one is traveling to China.
