Kusho Thubten Wangchen, Chidue & Director/Founder, Tibet House, Spain

As the Director and Founder of Tibet House in Barcelona and a standing Europe Chidue, Kusho Wangchen has been one of the most active promoters of Tibetan culture and proponents of Tibetan freedom in Europe. And as a Spanish citizen, he is the key plaintiff in the ongoing universal jurisdiction lawsuit against a range of Chinese leaders, including Hu Jintao, for crimes of genocide in Tibet. Kusho Wangchen tells VOA that Tibetans living abroad who have experienced repression in Tibet should consider launching similar legal action if they have such provisions in their country of residence.
