Kunchok Tseten, a 30 year old Tibetan man who self-immolated on December 3, 2013 shouted slogans calling for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
The senior Tibetan officials include Kalon Pema Chhinjor, Kalon Dolma Gyari, Kalon Tsering Dhondup, Kalon Dicki Chhoyang, and Kalon Dr. Tsering Wangchuk.

The selection committee selected 22 candidates from 25 applicants, out of which eight candidates will receive scholarships from the Tibetan Department of Religion and Culture in exile.
