Tibetans living in Delhi, India observed the 53rd anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day at the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) school ground located in Samyeling Tibetan Camp, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi on September 2, 2013.
An incense burning ceremony and a propitiation chanting were made with an assembly of monks and the public prior to the beginning of the main function.
Chief guest Tempa Tsering, the representative of the Dalai Lama in Delhi read the message of Kashag, Cabinet of the Central Tibetan Administration.
Shri Parlad Sing Sawhney, member of the legislative assembly [MLA] of Delhi attended the function as a special guest, where he paid greetings on behalf of the Delhi government.
All the Tibetan established businesses in Delhi were closed to observe the democracy day.
