CTA Appoints Ngawang Choedak as New Justice Commissioner

The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile elected Mr Ngawang Choedak Choetri Tengpa, Secretary for Religion and Culture, as the new Justice Commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission of the Central Tibetan Administration on September 21, 2013.

After receiving the Dalai Lama from his ten days Europe trip, the legislators resumed parliament in the afternoon, during which Mr Ngawang Choedak polled 21 votes against 16 for Mr Kargyu Dhondup, the present auditor general of the Central Tibetan Administration, in a voting held in the Parliament where 37 of the legislators were present.

Mr Ngawang Choedak has served the Tibetan administration in exile for the last 38 years within different positions and capabilities including Secretary of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission.
