The ‘Peton Mewon Tsuklag’ school in Dharamsala, Northern India celebrated the 74th birthday of its founder, Samdhong Rinpoche who is the former head of the Tibetan administration in exile, on November 5, 2013.

The function was attended by teachers, students, and parents of the school where Mr. Tenzin Dorjee, the principal spoke of Rinpoche's services, achievements, and contributions to the Tibetan community.

Samdhong Rinpoche spoke on the aim of Basic Education Policy adopted by the Exile administration and gave his advice to the first batch outgoing students.

Students performed cultural dance, recited poems, and handed greeting cards to Samdhong Rinpoche as he turned 74 today.
