Guchusum Holds Emergency Meeting to Replace Executive Members

The Gu-chu-sum Tibetan Freedom Movement, an NGO of former political prisoners and their family members, based in Dharamsala, North India held a two-day emergency meeting to replace their 11 executive members who will be leaving to Australia soon.

The 11 executive members leaving to Australia were among over 200 Tibetans who will be granted political asylum by the Australian government through Central Tibetan Administration.

At the two day emergency meeting, they elected 11 new executive members and collected suggestions in stabilizing the organization, and how to marks its 25th founding anniversary.

The emergency meeting called within a month's notice is attended by more than 100 members. The organization have around 700 members worldwide.
