Tibetans in Dharamsala, northern India gave a hearty welcome to Rinpo Yak, who toured 13 countries in Europe and 5 in Asia on a bike rally to spread awareness about Tibet on November 30, 2013.
The NGOs in Dharamsala held a reception ceremony, during which the NGO leaders and Tibetans offered a white scarf to Rinpo Yak to show appreciation for his sacrifice for Tibet. Yak spoke about his experiences, the goals of this tour, and urged all Tibetans to stand in unity.
Penpa Tsering, speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile praised and thanked Yak for his individual effort in highlighting the plight of Tibet and recalled other individuals like Lingtsa Tsetan Dorjee and Loten Namling's sacrifices as well.
Rinpo Yak is scheduled to tour Tibetan schools and monasteries in and around Dharamsala for the next few days.
