Tibetans in Delhi gathered at Samyeling Tibetan Colony at Majnu ka Tilla on December 10, 2013 to observe the 24th anniversary of the conferment of Noble Peace Prize to the Dalai Lama.

Special guest of the function, Shri Parlad Singh Sawhny, member of the Legislative Assembly of Delhi Government paid his greetings to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans on the auspicious occasion for all who love peace and harmony.

Mr. Tempa Tsering, former Tibetan exile government minister and the representative of the Dalai Lama in Delhi urged the Tibetans to take pledges to follow the wishes of the Dalai Lama. "On such occasions, the best way to observe the day is to take pledge to follow what the Dalai Lama says," said Tempa Tsering after reading the message of Kashag [Council of Cabinet Ministers].

Mr. Chokyong Wangchuck, member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile read the message of the Tibetan parliament.

Meanwhile, the Students for a Free Tibet's India chapter launched a signature campaign for the early release of Tibetan film maker and political prisoner Dhondup Wangchen. SFT submitted a collection of one thousand signatures to the Chinese Embassy in Delhi.
