The Dalai Lama visited Bishop Cotton Boys' School in Bangalore, Karnataka, India on January 5, 2014 to address the opening function of 92nd Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Schools in India.

The Dalai Lama in his speech, stressed on the importance of selflessness, global thinking, and on developing inner value and religious harmony to bring peace while eliminating conflicts.

The four day conference is attended by over 200 principals from Anglo-Indian schools in India where they would be discussing on preparing globally responsible citizens.

Dr. Nandan Nilekani, the Chairman of UIDAI was present as the guest of honor and he stressed on the significance of teacher's approach to bring innovative ideas to expand student's creativity. He further added that the society should provide equal opportunity for every citizen to ensure India's proper development.
