Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamsala, India today after concluding his 3 day New Zealand visit and 11-day Australia tour.
Hundreds of people carrying traditional scarves, incense sticks and flowers, lined the roads to welcome the Tibetan spiritual leader.
On his 5th visit to New Zealand, the Dalai Lama participated in the memorial service for the victims of the February earthquake in Christchurch. During his 6th visit to Australia from June 9 to 20, the Dalai Lama visited Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth in Australia where he gave a series of public talks, teachings and held meeting with the local Tibetan and Chinese community.
The 75 year old spiritual leader will give teachings on the subject of ‘Je Tsongkhapa's Praise to the Buddha for His Teachings on Dependent Origination' and ‘Avalokiteshvera Permission Initiation' in Dharamsala from June 28 to 29. He will then visit to Washington DC in July to confer the Kalachakra Initiation from July 13 to 15.
