Dalai Lama Celebrates Tibetan New Year with Minneapolis Tibetans

The Dalai Lama arrived in Minnesota from Los Angeles on March 1, 2014 to celebrate Losar, the Tibetan word for new year with the Tibetans residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

During the Losar ceremony, Mayor of Minneapolis Besty Hodges read the Proclamation of declaring March 2 as the 'Peace and Compassion Day of the Dalai Lama' in Minneapolis.

The Dalai Lama will leave for Washington, DC on March 5 to give a public talk on "Beyond Religion: Ethics for the Whole World," on March 7, 2014 organized by the National Cathedral and the Office of Tibet.
