  • VOA Tibetan

Chinese security forces have locked down Bora monastery following a mass protest Tuesday by Bora monks in Sangchu county in Kanlho prefecture (Chinese: Xiane Xian County, Gannan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province), according to Dharamshala-based Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD).

About a hundred monks from Bora Monastery marched to the local township office carrying banned Tibetan national flags and shouted slogans calling for human rights, religious freedom, and language rights in Tibet, said the rights group.
