Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Ottawa Wednesday for a three-day state visit ahead of a G20 summit in Toronto. A large welcome reception is expected to mark the visit by Hu, who last came to Canada in 2005.
The Chinese Embassy have organized Chinese students from across Canada for Hu’s arrival by promising expenses such as traveling, hotel and meals, according to The Epoch Times.
Hu is scheduled to meet Thursday with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. A large number of Tibetan activists and Falun Gong practitioners are expected to protest during Hu's visit.
