Representatives from more than 50 countries will be attending the second inauguration of Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian’s inauguration on May 20, next Thursday. The president’s deputy secretary also told reporters that the president sent an invitation to the Dalai Lama. Although the Dalai Lama will not attend the inauguration, he will be sending a representative to the inauguration ceremony, the secretary said. Taiwan’s cabinet resigned on Wednesday to make way for a new Administration. President Chen Shui-bian will be inaugurated for a second term on May 20.
