Former Tibetan Political Prisoner Speaks to Tibetan Exile Officials in Dharmsala - 2004-04-19

Former Tibetan political prisoner, Takna Jigme Sangpo spoke to Tibetan exile officials in Dharmsala, the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile. The former political prisoner said that he is determined to dedicate rest of his life, working for Tibet’s freedom. He said that in Tibet Beijing is implementing a policy aimed at eradicating Tibetan religion and culture. He said that opening of monasteries in Tibet are show cases for foreign tourists and working language in Tibet today is Chinese not Tibetan.
