Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to an Auckland museum was delayed on Monday as officials tried to figure out how his motorcade could avoid a group of a hundred protestors agitating for Taiwan independence. China last month lodged a protest again Prime Minister Jim Bolger’s meeting with the Dalai Lama last month in Wellington and warned that the country’s relationship with China had been damaged.
