Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society Urges Indian PM to Raise Tibet Issue when he Visit China this Month - 2003-06-17


Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society has urged Indian Prime Minister Atal Vajpayee to raise the Tibet issue when he meets with Chinese leaders this month. Spokesman for the group says trade between China and India is not that important, but the two issues that are important and must be raised with Chinese leadership are: fist is Sino-Tibetan problem and second is recovering of Indian land occupied by China during the 1962 war. Representatives of the group will try to meet with Prime Minister on June 18. The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave for China on June 22.
