Dalai Lama Speaks at Swedish Parliament - 2003-06-04


Dalai Lama addressed the national Swedish Parliament and this is the first time that the Tibetan leader was officially invited to the parliament to address the members. Tibetan leader told the parliament members about his efforts towards promoting basic human good qualities and inter-religious harmony and dialogue. The Dalai Lama also said that his envoys are visiting China an effort to build confidence and remove the elements of suspicion on the part of Chinese leadership in seeking meaningful solution for Tibet. The speaker of the parliament Mr. Kent Olson welcomed the Dalai Lama and wished him success in his quest for a genuine autonomy for Tibet.
