Indo-Tibetan Friendship Groups Seek to Meet Indian PM - 2003-05-29

Indo-Tibetan Friendship Groups and other Tibet support groups are planning a strategy meeting to put pressure on the government of India to change its policy towards Tibet and to take a more active role on the Sino-Tibetan dialogue. Representatives of the groups are seeking a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Atal Vajapaye before he leave for China. The groups’ spokesman says resolving the Sino-Tibetan problem is in the interests not only of the two parties, but also of India.
