Rights Group Appeals for Ailing Tibetan Political Prisoner - 2003-04-29

The Dharmsala-based Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy called on the Chinese leadership to release the ailing Tibetan political prisoner Tsering Thondup who was arrested last June, allegedly having connection with Trulku Tenzin Delek. Last year Chinese court convicted Trulku Tenzin Delek for a series of bomb blast and sentenced him to death with two years suspension. The center says Tsering Thondup is in a “critical health condition” and he should be released immediately on medical parole.
