Tibetans in Bomdila Prepare for Dalai Lama’s Arrival - 2003-04-29


Tibetan stringer Thubten Tsering reported that the Tibetans in Bomdila, northeastern state of India, eagerly await the arrival of their spiritual and political leader the Dalai Lama who will be visiting the area after six years. The Tibetans have set up various stages of welcoming gates where different communities will welcome the Dalai Lama tuesday. The Dalai Lama will be giving Buddhist teachings at Tibetan settlements and also monasteries.
