Dharmsala observed World Health Day monday, with particular attention to the health of children and the environment. Mr. Lobsang Nyandak, Minister for Health, says the Tibetan government-in-exile observes World Health Day to focus the attention of the Tibetan community on the importance of taking care of one’s health and also in particular of the health of children. The Minister also says they are concerned about the spread of SARS in Dharmsala because of tourists coming from different countries. He says he will be meeting with Indian counterparts to discuss preventive measures. He will be also meeting with Tibetan doctors and health workers.
