Dalai Lama Prays for Peace in Iraq - 2003-03-12

The Dalai Lama led a prayer congregation in Dharmsala today attended by thousands of Tibetans and foreign supporters. The Tibetan leader told the congregation that his prayers would help to bring peace to the minds of people in Iraq. The Dalai Lama said that the destruction of Iraq would affect many people and countries, “in particular when we live in a small planet where all of us are interdependent on each other.” He also said that war is an outdated approach to resolving differences.
