Tibetans and Chinese supporters demonstrated in Taipei today in observance of the 44th Anniversary of the March 10th Anniversary. This is the first time that such a demonstration has taken place in Taiwan. The organizers say they had no problem getting the required permit for the demonstration against Chinese occupation of Tibet. The demonstrators carried both Chinese and Tibetan placards, condemning China’s occupation of Tibet since 1959.
