Visiting Tibetan MPs Meet Tibetans in New York - 2003-02-10

Two visiting Tibetan members of the exiled Parliament met with more than 200 Tibetans from New York an New Jersey yesterday. Gyari Dolma, vice-chairman of the Parliament and Tsering Phuntsok, a member of the parliament, briefed the Tibetans about the current status of Dharmsala-Beijing relations. Gyari Dolma says that there is hope for a rapprochement, and “I hope the Chinese will not disappoint us.” She says the parliament supports the Dalai Lama’s “Middle Way Approach” in dealing with China.
