Some 3,000 Tibetans from Tibet Attend Kalachakra - 2003-01-20

Some 3,000 Tibetans have come from Tibet to attend the Klachakra initiation in Bodh Gaya and the Tibetan government –in-exile has set up a reception center where they take care of the needs of the Tibetans from Tibet. Mr. Sonam Topgyal, who is in charge of the center, says the Center is offering free breakfast and dinner and also accommodation. He says this year almost 65 per cent of the Tibetans from Tibet have exit permit from the Chinese authorities and “this is much higher than last year.” A Tibetan woman from Karze says she is “very grateful” for the assistance rendered by the center for the new comers.
