Thousands of Buddhists in Bodh Gaya welcomed the Dalai Lama who arrived Thesday from Patna, capital of Bihar State. Bodh Gaya is one of the holiest places for Buddhists because that is where the Lord Buddha got enlightened under a Bodhi tree. The Dalai Lama visited the Geat stupa and also attended the concluding session of the on-going Kagyu Monlam Chenmo ( the Great Prayer session) under the Bodhi Tree.
