Dalai Lama Says Tibetan Struggle is not only for Tibetans, but all those who believe in Buddhism - 2003-01-02

The Dalai Lama, addressing a conference on Tibetan education in Dharmsala, today said that the Tibetan struggle is not only for the six million Tibetans, but also to those who believe in Buddhism. If the Tibetan Buddhist culture were wiped out, this would effect millions of Buddhists around the world. Tibetan Buddhism has a great potential to contribute to the peace of mind and now even the Western scientists are taking great interest in examining Buddhist philosophy. The Dalai Lama also told some 400 Tibetan education experts and teachers that in the future non-violence will be the best means of resolving conflicts in the world.
