Chinese border police on the Tibet-Nepal border imposed travel restrictions from September 19 through 24. There was no official explanation for this restrictions, but credible sources say the restrictions were imposed because at the time the Dalai Lama’s envoys were visiting Shigatse. Now restrictions have been lifted and normalcy has returned to the area.
