Dalai Lama Meets with Chinese Intellectuals  བོད་སྐད།


The Dalai Lama met with over 120 scholars and dissidents to build a viable connection with Chinese people in New York City Tuesday.

"If 60-70 percent of the Tibetans are happy in Tibet, we have nothing to complain", the Dalai Lama said, who further mentioned that if that is not the case, then the Chinese Government must realize that things are not right inside Tibet.

The Dalai Lama told Chinese that he is not seeking independence for Tibet, only genuine autonomy for the three regions of Tibet. What he has asked for are within the frame work of constitution of the People’s Republic of China.
