Special Envoy Lodi Gyari Says Door to Dialogue is Open བོད་སྐད།


The head of the Tibetan delegation says the door to negotiation is open despite a halt to Sino-Tibetan dialogue. Speaking at the 10th NATA conference at Toronto, special envoy Gyari Rinpoche said although the dialogue process was halted, if China were willing, the door to dialogue is open.

North American MP Tenzin Choeden, Representative Lobsang Nyandak also spoke at the conference. Thirty four delegates from 25 regions across North America participated in the two -day conference that resolved to tone down the celebrations Tibetan New Year this year to mourn the suffering and loss life during the demonstrations last year Tibet. Major demonstrations were planned for the 50th anniversary of the uprising which falls on March 10, 2009, in Washington and Ottawa. Long time Tibet supporters will be given thanks in special celebrations.
