Dalai Lama Asks Taiwanese to Help Educate Fellow Chinese in the Mainland about Tibet བོད་སྐད།


On October 4,2008, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has concluded his five days teaching Taiwanese Buddhists. After replying varied doubts , His Holiness requested the Taiwan Chinese Buddhist devotees to dispell the misunderstanding among the mainland Chinese by means of informing them the actual and real situation of Tibet. His Holiness further told that the Chinese govt. propaganda mislead the innocent Chinese.

During second day of the teaching, the Dalai Lama gave special opportunity to the Taiwanese Buddhists for a question and answers session. When asked what Taiwan Chinese can do to help Tibet, the Dalai Lama told them that it would be very helpful for the Tibetan cause if the Taiwanese help educate the fellow Chinese in the Mainland about Tibet as opposed to Chinese government's propaganda. He says the government propaganda gives the impression that Tibetans are anti-Chinese, in reality, Tibetans are not anti-Chinese. Taiwan Buddhists can help dispel the misunderstandings and misconceptions.

More than 3500 devotees from around the world, including 600 Chinese Buddhists from Taiwan, have thronged the Tsuglagkhang, the main temple, in Dharamshala.
