Taktser Rinpoche: Lama, Diplomat, Scholar, Freedom Fighter བརྙན་འཕྲིན།

The passing of Taktser Rinpoche last week marks the passing of one of the last figures to have played a role in Tibetan polity before the arrival of the Chinese. He was many things in his life, but for many younger Tibetans, he will be best remembered as the brother who respected and loved the Dalai Lama, but never swerved from his personal belief that independence was the only viable solution to preserving Tibetan culture and identity.

Kunleng shows archival images to highlight Taktser Rinpoche’s life, along with interviews with family and friends, and colleagues whose lives Taktser Rinpoche had touched in different ways.
