Corruption in China and Tibet བརྙན་འཕྲིན།

In recent years, China has been shaken by a series of large-scale corruption scandals within its business and financial institutions, many of which involved top level communist party officials. Some experts say that the widespread and systemic level of corruption in China and its nexus with the communist party could bring about the downfall of China's economy and seriously damage the legitimacy of the Communist Party. This week's Kunleng looks at some of the root causes of corruption in China in general, how it affects and manifests itself in the Tibetan regions, and its implications for future Tibet society. Host Changchub Dolma invites Mr. Tseten Wangchuk, Senior editor, VOA Tibetan Service and Mr. Kunga Tashi, Research and analyst at the Office of Tibet, New York.
