Losar: The Tibetan New Year བརྙན་འཕྲིན།

This Week's Kunleng will look at how Tibetans prepare for the New Year as they welcome the year 2135 of the Tibetan calendar, how the Losar celebrations play an important role in highlighting the preservation of culture and tradition in Diaspora communities, and how parents pass down the tradition to the younger generation.

Kunleng will invite Tibetan service staff Yeshe Khedrup to discuss the relevance and origins of many of the rituals and traditions that surround Losar, and many of our viewers will also be taking part in the show with their video greetings to Tibetans in Tibet and around the world.
