Former Chief Minister of the Tibetan Cabinet in exile urged the people to make a special appeal to the Dalai Lama, requesting him to take full responsibility of the government at this critical period of Tibetan history. Mr. Sonam Topgyal says the Dalai Lama is the most powerful and most unifying voice for Tibet's freedom. Therefore, his taken on the full responsibility of the Tibetan government is essential for Tibet's cause. Mr. Sonam Topgyal also urged the Tibetan government-in-exile to improve its ties with Taiwan as proposed by Taiwan's President Chen Shui-bian in his recent statement.
