Kunleng TV: Beijing Olympic One-Year Countdown


As the one-year Olympic countdown begins in Beijing, Tibetans and international Tibet support groups are launching direct action campaigns to protest China’s repressive rule in Tibet. From Beijing to New Delhi, Tibetans and Tibet supporters are seizing the opportunity to draw international attention to the Tibet issue and to pressure China to change its Tibet policy. This week’s Kunleng invite four political organizers to discuss their campaigns and to reflect on the effectiveness of protest as a strategy at this particular juncture in time.

Kunleng is simulcast on television via satellite, on shortwave radio, and via the Internet in real time. Tune in every Wednesday at 1400-1500 UTC, 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm Lhasa time.
