The Fourth of July marks more than the anniversary of America’s declaration of independence from Britain in 1776. It also marks an important moment in modern politics with the passage of a young political community into a new set of collective ideals and values. On July 4, Kunleng will look back at the early days of this important political shift. We will also interview Tibetan Americans on what it means to be an American today.

Kunleng is simulcast on television via satellite, on shortwave radio, and via the Internet in real time. Tune in every Wednesday at 1400-1500 UTC, 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm Lhasa time.
