The European Union has recently signaled a renewed interest in Tibet by passing a resolution urging the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama's representative to continue their intermittent dialogue. Advocates of Sino-Tibetan engagement are hoping the EU will play a more active role in urging China to negotiate with the Dalai Lama on resolving the Tibet issue. This week's Tibetan call-in show invites Mr. Kalsang Gyaltsen, the Dalai Lama's envoy in Europe, and Ms. Tsering Jampa, director of ICT in Europe, to discuss the nature and complexity of concern for the Tibetan issue among EU member states.
