Tibetans and Supporters a Protest Demonstration at the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C.


Around four hundred Tibetans and supporters gathered Friday, 20th October in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. in response to the brutal killings by the Chinese border patrols at Nangpa la (Tibet-Nepal border). Tibetan refugees attempting to escape from Tibet into Nepal.

In a video recorded by a Romanian cameraman who was on the mountain pass and was broadcast on Romanian television (Pro TV) what appear to be Chinese troops are seen shooting and killing Tibetan refugees.

Hundreds of Tibetans cross the Himalayas from their Chinese-ruled territory to Nepal every year. Some try to make the trip to reach a northern town in India, where the Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, lives
