China's government has rejected a Human Rights Watch report that criticized what it called China's suppression of religious and labor activists and its treatment of Tibetans, Muslims and other minorities.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said the organization that created the report holds a strong prejudice against China.
He said the report's information about China is false.
Kong said China will continue its efforts to improve and safeguard human rights.
