Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, says he is hopeful Burmese democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi will be released soon from house arrest.
The Dalai Lama made his comments while attending a conference in the Norwegian capital, Oslo.
The Democratic Voice of Burma quoted the Tibetan spiritual leader as saying he was proud of Aung San Suu Kyi's efforts for peace and was praying that Burmese authorities will release her from house arrest.
Aung San Suu Kyi has spent nearly 10 years in detention since 1989.
