Recently, the youth leaders and activists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Tibet gathered for a three-day conference in Taiwan’s capital Taipei to discuss freedom, democracy, and right to self-determination. The conference had participation from activists and right defenders from various parts of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the exile Tibetan community. The joint press statement released after the conference states, “Tibetan Government in Exile as the legitimate representative of six million Tibetans, and expresses its support to the Tibetan people in their struggle for a free Tibet, recognizes Hong Kong’s right to self-determination and self-governance and Taiwan as a democratic nation whose security and sovereignty is being threatened by China’s imperialist ambitions”. Table Talk invites Tibetan participant to the conference; Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar, President of Gu Chu Sum, Dharamsala, and Tenzin Tsundue, Writer/Activist to discuss the significance of the recently held conference.
