ཐད་ཀར་ཕབ་ལེན་གྱི་དྲ་འབྲེལ།

In an unprecedented show of force and harassment, thousands of Tibetans from Tibet who have reached India were forced to return before the start of the Dalai Lama's Kalachakra event in Boudh Gaya, India. Earlier, it was reported that the passports of many Tibetans were confiscated to deny them the opportunity to receive Kalachakra religious teaching. The Chinese official media and officials criticized the 34th Kalachakra as ‘separatist political tool’. Table Talk discusses China’s efforts to politicize the religious event and to deny Tibetans from receiving Kalachakra religious teaching from Dalai Lama, and what it means for broader religious freedom and human rights condition in China.
