The United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power and her family dined at Punda, a New York based Tibetan restaurant on November 26, 2016.
Tenzin Tsering, owner of Punda, says the ambassador and her family was served exclusively Tibetan dishes such as momo, phingsha, shogo si si, tingmo, shapdra, jasha sonam, tsampa shake, and tsamthuk.
Tsering adds that he explained the ingredients, origins, and histories of the dishes, while telling his own story and the current situation of Tibet to the ambassador.
Ambassador Power, following the meal at the restaurant, left a message on her Twitter account saying that the food at Punda was worth having.
