The Tibetan refugee sweater seller's market in front of Red Fort (Lal Qila), New Delhi with 138 shops in the market, was destroyed by fire that broke out early Tuesday morning.

The Dharamsala based Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has declared Rs.15 Lakhs as a relief fund. "Just now, I received a call from the Kashag (Secretariat of CTA) saying that Rs. 15 Lakhs will be send immediately to restart the market," says Lekey Dorjee, the Welfare Officer of Tibetans in Delhi.

The Education Minister of CTA, Secretary of Delhi Bureau Office, the leader of Samyeling Tibetan Colony, and many local Indian leaders including Ms. Alka Lamba MLA of Delhi Assembly met with the victims on November 8.
