TPI Marks International Mother Language Day

The Tibet Policy Institute based in Dharamsala, Northern India held a panel discussion on Tibetan Language to mark the 'International Mother language Day' on February 21, 2016.

Tashi Tsering, Director of Amnye Machen Institute was among the six speakers who spoke on the effects of mixing local dialects in written language. Ngodup Tsering, Kalon of the Department of Education was the chief guest at the inaugural function.

The discussion was attended by eighty participants including representatives from different departments of the Central Tibetan Administration, NGO representatives, students, and teachers from schools and colleges.
