The former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Professor Vivek Suneja inaugurated a conference on, "His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Contributions on Education, Ethics, and Buddhist Science" at India International Center, New Delhi on October 27, 2015.

Professor Suneja stressed the importance of preservation of Tibetan culture and said that in order to save Tibetan culture and tradition, the Dalai Lama has proposed the middle way approach. "His Holiness always says that the problem with China is not only political, but also cultural and that is why he has proposed middle way approach, where the Tibetans can manage their own autonomy, culture, and tradition. For that, it needs due share of political freedom," says Prof. Suneja.

Other speakers present at the function were Mr. Tempa Tsering, Representative of the Dalai Lama in New Delhi; Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director of Tibet House in New Delhi; Dr.Tanuja Sharma, Professor of Human Resource Management, and Professor Prabhat Ranjan, Executive Director of TIFAC.
