Mentally Ill People Victimized from Stigmas, Discrimination, and Abuse

Hundreds of millions of people globally suffer from mental health problems and the World Health Organizations urges the countries to protect their human rights. On the World Mental Health Day Saturday, WHO called for a change in the attitudes that perpetuate stigma and discrimination that have isolated people since ancient times. According to WHO report, mentally ill account for 13 percent of the global disease burden and for one-third of all health-related disability.
